What happens during onboarding?
Onboarding is where your local brand gets built with you. The team sets up your brand, your website and your tools, and walks you through training before you launch. Ask the team about the onboarding steps for your market.
What will I learn?
Training comes from people who have done the work. It covers:
- HVAC basics, so you can talk about systems plainly and correctly.
- Product and process, meaning the systems you offer and how a job moves from quote to install.
- In-home guidance, or how to run a consultation and help a homeowner choose the right system.
- Quoting and the sales process, using the same quoting tools you'll use every day.
- Customer conversations, from the first call to follow-up after the install.
What is the dealer playbook?
The playbook is a clear way to run the three things that fill a dealer's week: consultations, follow-up and scheduling. It gives every dealer the same starting point, so you aren't inventing a process on your own. You still run your business your way, in your town, under your own local brand.
Who helps once I've launched?
Support continues after launch. Dealers keep marketing support and an operations team that handles coordination, so you can stay with the customer instead of chasing schedules. Installs are handled by licensed, insured install partners who take care of permitting, installation and startup. Training covers HVAC basics, sales and systems, followed by ongoing coaching.
How does a dealer go from first call to ongoing support?
- Intro call. Meet the team, share your background and ask anything.
- Short application. A short application about you, your role and your market.
- Onboarding. Your brand, website, tools and training, set up with you.
- Launch. Go live as a local brand with the network behind you.
- Ongoing support. Training, the playbook, marketing support and the operations team stay with you.
Ask the team about the steps for your market.
Training and support questions
Do I need HVAC sales experience before training starts?
No. No industry background is required. Training covers HVAC basics, quoting, customer conversations and the sales process, so you learn the ALocal way of running a consultation from the start. The mechanical work stays with licensed, insured install partners.
Does training stop when I launch?
No. Support continues after launch. Dealers keep the playbook, marketing support and an operations team for coordination, and the platform keeps getting system updates. The goal is that you're never figuring out the hard parts alone in your market, whether it's your first month or your first summer.
Who handles installs while I'm learning?
Licensed, insured install partners. They handle permitting, installation and startup on every job, so your training can focus on homeowners, quoting and follow-up rather than mechanical work. You coordinate the install date with the homeowner, and the install partner does the work.
